A broadside design for a poem by Xandria Phillips, commissioned by already felt, a NYC-based project centering queer and trans Black poets & poets of color. already felt features an intergenerational chapbook & broadside fundraiser supporting Black queer & trans organizations. This broadside is available for sale on a sliding scale.

Better Be Divine (2020)

a narrative exploring the exchange of erotic and material power through the transcendence of possession, slippage, and fluid corporealities.

Part narrative, recalling a perverse exchange of erotic and material power. Part incantation, evoking the transcendent possibilities of possession and submission. Premiered February 2020, as part of the group show “Controlling Time” at Langer over Dickie Gallery, Chicago, IL.


“Loose Tracks” and “Intricate Intimacies” (2019)

Two pieces commissioned by The Center for Afrofuturist Studies in collaboration with PromptPress, in response to artwork by Brandon Drew Holmes. Both pieces were published in a limited-edition artist book designed by WORK/PLAY.

Loose Tracks. Two-tone straight kanekalon, gold-painted plastic cowries, gold nails.

Intricate Intimacies. Black wavy kanekalon, burnt and bound by black thread, poster paper.
