chekwube o. danladi is a writer & a reformed punk. she has received support from callaloo, kimbilio, hedgebrook, the lambda literary foundation, the vermont studio center, & the wisconsin institute for creative writing. her debut collection, semiotics, was selected by evie shockley for the 2019 cave canem poetry prize (university of georgia press, 2020). her chapbook, take me back, was released as part of the new generation african poets: nne boxset in 2017. from lagos by way of west baltimore, chekwube is currently based in chicago.
